Michelle

Michelle started performing at an early age. Her first role was with the Welsh National Opera at the age of 11 where she played Cinderella. She then went on to join Llandudno youth music theatre where she was a member for 8 years, she performed in musical such as Barnum, Children of Eden and 42nd Street. She then went off to college to pursue her ambition of performing arts. While studying she enjoyed the technical aspect of the theatre and worked in the North Wales Theatre for many years, assisting with stage, lighting and sound. She did a UK national tour of Dancing In The Streets, being PA to Mary Wilson (one of the Supremes). The show was a Mo-Town extravaganza with stars such a Martha Reeves and Edwin star. "This is was a fantastic experience", Michelle recalls. And once back studying she would go off at Christmas to perform in pantomime, ranging from parts as the Prince to Jasmine in Aladdin.

She then ventured off to London to further her education in the London school of musical theatre. Again whilst studying she worked doing lighting, in the sensational Disney's Lion King.

P and O gave Michelle her first major contract where she would be travelling Europe, South America and the Caribbean. 'This was and unforgettable experience', and one she always looks back on with fond memories.

As soon as her feet touched the ground she had 5 weeks back in the UK before she jetted off to Japan singing in a summer carnival. 'Definitely something that had to been done, a culture that is extremely fascinating and so hospitable.'

Since then Michelle has found love and married, and decided to get a 'proper job'. 'I have found it extremely hard to find something that is anywhere close to the career I had before. I had a fantastic time whilst performing; but I have something I enjoy more now; my family. Being able to perform as part of Quartz is great, and hopefully people can see that when I perform I love it.'
